PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan visited Bandung Zoo, Tuesday (1/4/2025), the day after Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.
During his visit, he wanted to ensure the readiness of several tourist attractions, including the zoo, to welcome the surge in tourists during the Eid holiday.
"This is my first official visit as Mayor to Bandung Zoo. I want to make sure that the zoo is well managed and ready to receive tourists during the Eid holiday," said Farhan.
In addition to reviewing the facilities, Farhan also had a dialogue with the management regarding the steps that have been taken to improve visitor comfort. He emphasized the importance of cleanliness, safety, and optimal service at tourist destinations.
In addition to evaluating the readiness of facilities and visitor management, Farhan also highlighted the existence of buffers or trees that separate the zoo from the settlements around Taman Sari.
According to him, settlements around the zoo should continue to benefit from the coolness of the existing trees.
"I want the settlements around the zoo to still be able to feel the shade of the trees from here, and inside the zoo we can still feel the natural green atmosphere," he added.
In addition, he instructed the formation of an Anti-Thug Task Force to monitor parking areas and prevent illegal levies that often disturb tourists.
The Bandung City Government will ensure that tourist areas remain safe and comfortable for local and out-of-town visitors.
Farhan hopes that with good management, Bandung Zoo can become a major tourist attraction and contribute to the economic growth of Bandung. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/rka)
