PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Two West Java BUMDs signed an investment MoU at the 2024 West Java Investment Summit (WJIS) event which took place at the Trans Convention Center, Bandung City, Thursday (19/9/2024).
The first MoU between PT Tirta Gemah Ripah and PT Tigalapan Investama Group. This cooperation is worth an investment of Rp300 billion and can increase if the project is expanded.
Both will work together in the piping of clean water which will be distributed to the community in several areas of West Java.
Director of PT Tirta Gemah Ripah Yoseph Yusrizal said this collaboration will begin in 2025 with the first location in Karawang Regency.
"The target is groundbreaking in 2025 in Karawang. It will then expand to Purwakarta, the Bogor region to Depok," said Yoseph.
President Director of PT Tigalapan Investama Group Titi Khoiriah added that the company has handled many clean water processing (SPAM) pipelines throughout Indonesia. In West Java, it has also started in the last few years.
"God willing, with this collaboration, the reach of clean water to the community will be wider. We have done it in Sumatra, Kalimantan, East Java and West Java," he explained.
Another MoU is between BUMD PT Migas Utama Jabar and PT Subang Energi Abadi. The cooperation between the two is for the utilization of natural gas for industrial needs in the Subang area and its surroundings.
Director of Engineering and Operations of PT Migas Utama Jabar Muhamad Sani said that the demand for natural gas for industry and the community in West Java is very high and has not been fully served.
"This MoU is also West Java's commitment to providing green energy needs for the industrial area in Rebana which is increasingly emerging. Also for the provision of energy for the construction of data centers," he said.
President Director of PT Subang Energi Abadi Guntur Setiawan said that in the next 10 years, the Subang area will become increasingly crowded with the emergence of seven new industrial areas.
"Subang will become like Karawang and Bekasi, so energy needs must be prepared. Seven industrial areas will absorb our production," he said.
He said that currently around 10,000 gas network connections to households have been successfully made. Cooperation with Migas Utama is also for improving human resources so that local workers can be absorbed.
Middle East Interest in Food Estate
Another investor who also signed a cooperation agreement at the WJIS event was CV Menata Citra Selaras, a company that works on agricultural production and products.
The company, funded by a consortium from the Middle East, is interested in developing a food estate in Sukabumi Regency.
CV Menata Citra Selaras Director Yogi Prabowo said that on-farm cultivation will begin next year. "Starting from production to agricultural downstreaming will be built in Sukabumi," he said.
