PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Garut Regency is conducting monitoring and evaluation (monev) on the preparedness of health services in facing Eid al-Fitr 2025.
This activity aims to ensure that health facilities are ready to provide optimal services to the community during the homecoming flow and Eid celebrations.
Some of the health centers visited included the Cilimus, Cisurupan, Cikajang, Cisandaan, and Sindangratu Health Centers.
Head of Government and Human Development Division of Bappeda Garut Regency, Agus Dinar, said that based on monitoring results, all health centers are on alert with health workers on duty 24 hours a day.
"Health service facilities and infrastructure have also been optimally prepared, including the officer's duty schedule that has been prepared in each health center," said Agus Dinar, Sunday (30/3/2025).
During a visit to the Cikajang Health Center, the monitoring team found a patient who gave birth to a low-weight baby. The premature baby weighing 1.8 kg was initially delivered at an independent midwife practice before finally receiving further medical treatment at the health center.
Meanwhile, at the Cisandaan Health Center, medical personnel are treating a mother who suffered a laceration on her forehead due to a traffic accident. Based on information from the family, the victim had an accident while on her way home to Bungbulang. It is suspected that the driver was sleepy, causing the vehicle to fall into a ditch.
Garut Regency Bappeda itself, said Agus, plays a role in coordinating related agencies, such as the Health Office and health centers, to ensure the readiness of health services for travelers. In addition, an evaluation is also carried out on the readiness of health facilities in dealing with the possibility of an increase in the number of patients during the Lebaran homecoming and return flow.
Head of Cisandaan Health Center, Fuad Saepul Hasim, stated that his party has prepared human resources (HR) with a task division system in two shifts for 24 hours, considering that the area is prone to accidents. Coordination with the Sub-district Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam) is also carried out routinely to ensure optimal health services.
"Tanjakan Panganten on Mount Halimun is one of the accident-prone points in our area. We hope that until D+7 of Lebaran, there will be no serious accidents, and all travelers can arrive safely and gather with their families," said Fuad Saepul Hasim.
With the readiness of medical personnel and health facilities that have been prepared, it is hoped that health services for travelers and the surrounding community can run well during the 2025 Eid al-Fitr period. (Garut Regency Communication and Information Service/Fauziah)
