PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Commemorating the XXVIIIth Regional Autonomy Day (Otda) which falls on April 25 2024, the Bogor Regional Government held a ceremony commemorating the XXVIIIth Regional Autonomy Day at the Bogor Regency level in 2024 which was led directly by the Bogor Regency Regional Secretary (Sekda) Burhanudin, at the Tegar Building Have faith (25/4/2024)

Bogor Regency Secretary Burhanudin said that the momentum of commemorating Regional Autonomy Day was a means of grounding and inviting all levels of the Bogor Regional Government, especially in encouraging the realization of economic transformation through the green economy program.

This is in line with the theme of the XXVIIIth Regional Autonomy in 2024, namely "Sustainable Regional Autonomy Towards a Green Economy and Healthy Environment".

"To realize the national program, namely the green economy, regional governments including Bogor Regency are obliged to make it a success through various programs including handling stunting, reducing extreme poverty rates, controlling inflation, improving quality public services through an Electronic Based Government System (SPBE), accelerating the national economic recovery process as well as a healthy region and environment," explained Burhanudin.

The Regional Secretary continued to explain, through the decentralization of the green economy program, the central government provides space for regional governments to manage natural resources more efficiently and sustainably.

Through the transformation of superior products from those originally based on non-renewable products, such as the mining processing industry, to products and services that are renewed while still paying attention to regional potential, such as agriculture, maritime affairs and tourism.

According to him, policy experimentation at the local level to encourage the implementation of green technology includes the use of renewable energy such as solar energy (solar panels), the use of electric cars that replace the existence of fossil fuel cars, environmentally friendly waste processing and green building design that pays attention to energy efficiency. .

Then, the use of environmentally friendly construction materials and management of building waste.

"Of course, by combining regional autonomy policies that focus on green economic development, to create a positive impact on the environment, society and the economy as a whole," said Regional Secretary Burhanudin.

As is known, the journey of regional autonomy has reached a stage of maturity to give birth to various policy innovations of beneficial value in the context of identifying and planning areas that have the potential to be developed in an integrated manner, which then forms an agglomeration of economic activities and is connected between one region and another.

"For this reason, the implementation of regional development needs to be carried out through a sustainable policy approach and the implementation of Green Economy regulations, where the implementation of regional government and economic growth is carried out by taking into account aspects of social justice and environmental preservation," he said.
