PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Since the amnesty of principal arrears and motor vehicle fines came into effect on March 20, there has been a significant spike in traffic on the Sapawarga application.

Apart from going to the Samsat office, people can also take advantage of tax amnesty through the Sapawarga application.

According to the Head of the West Java Communication and Information Service, Ika Mardiah, on the first day of the program's launch, there was a spike in Sapawarga users paying vehicle taxes.

"On March 20, 2025, the number of Sambara feature users on the Sapawarga application increased significantly to more than 37,000 users in one day, far above the daily average of 3,000–4,000 users," said Ika.

According to Ika, this spike occurred thanks to the high enthusiasm of the public for the motor vehicle tax amnesty program from the West Java Provincial Government.

To ensure optimal service, the Sambara and Sapawarga application technical teams increased the server capacity and processing power, as well as optimized the application and database, so that the service could run normally even if there was a spike in users.

"On the morning of March 20, it was observed that there was a problem with the application, but we were alert to immediately handle it. So now the service is running normally and smoothly again," said Ika Mardiah.

The public can download the Sapawarga application on the Playstore to facilitate various public services, such as paying taxes and others.

Motor vehicle tax amnesty will last until June 6, 2025.
